Image resizer FAQ
- Is this image resizer free?
- Yes, completely free. There is no account, no watermark, and no limit on how many images you resize.
- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- No. Everything happens in your browser, and your image never leaves your device.
- What image formats are supported?
- PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, SVG, and BMP. Downloads keep the original format for PNG, JPG, and WebP; everything else is saved as PNG (animated GIFs are resized as a single frame).
- Will resizing make my image blurry?
- Shrinking an image keeps it sharp. This tool scales down in steps rather than in one jump, which avoids the jagged edges you get from a single large reduction. Enlarging past the original size will always soften an image, because the extra pixels have to be invented.
- How do I resize without stretching the image?
- Leave the lock button on. The height then updates automatically when you change the width, so the proportions never change. Turn the lock off only when you need an exact size that does not match the shape of your image.
