What is a HEIC file?: HEIC is Apple’s default photo format on iPhones and iPads. It packs photos into small files, but support outside the Apple ecosystem is patchy, so converting is often the only way to use those photos elsewhere.
Should I convert HEIC to PNG or JPG?: PNG is lossless: every pixel is kept exactly as it is, which makes it the safer choice if you plan to edit the photo further.
